Todd took me out to the Village Whiskey. This is a new restaurant in Philadelphia located near 20th & Sansom.
To begin, I had a glass of wine. For appetizer, we had the Truffle Lemon Artichokes which came with warm toasted bread, whipped ricotta and black olive tapenade.
This was really good! I didn’t eat the black olive tapenade though, I hate olives.
For my entree, I ordered the Veggie Burger–black bean & lentil, Guacamole, Pickled Red Cabbage.
Amazing! So big too! The guacamole tasted perfect on it.
I also ordered French Fries with their housemade Ketchup!!
This was a great dinner. Some people may think that veggie burgers are gross and disgusting. I used to think that way. But now I realize that there are endless possibilities for making veggie burgers and I absolutely love them. I’d definitely go back to this restaurant; however, I don’t think there is much experimenting I would do on the menu. I would probably just stick with my Veggie Burger.
Right across the street from this restaurant is Capogiro, one of the best places for gelato in the city.
