Featured Boston Marathon Runner.

Hello everyone!  I was featured on Carrots N’ Cake as a Boston Marathon runner…so head on over and check it out!  I don’t think my email went through to Tina so my bio was left out…but that’s okay!  I just wanted to say Hi to all of the Carrots N’ Cake readers out there who clicked over to Food Fit & Fun!  I’ll tell you a little about myself since you didn’t get to read my bio…

My name is Mary.  I graduated from Elizabethtown College (PA) in May 2009 with a B.S. in Elementary & Special Education.  I am currently in graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in the Reading/Writing/Literacy Master’s Program & receiving my Reading Specialist Certification.  After I graduate, I hope to begin my career as an Elementary teacher.  Aside from education, some of my other interests are cooking, eating, nutrition, running, and yoga.  I found my love for running in 2007 and never, ever dreamed I would run a marathon.  Now I am preparing to run my 3rd!  I ran my first marathon in Philadelphia in the Fall of 2008 where I qualified for the Boston Marathon running a 3:33:43.  I will be running my first Boston on April 19th and I could not be any more nervous or excited!!  I can’t believe it is a week away!!! =]

Thanks for stopping by!
